Shine a little light Some days make me happy Some days get me down And when I’m heading for the road With a worried face, a great big frown I’m trying hard to let it be I leave it all behind Cause home is where the heart is And my home’s not hard to find When I see you jumping up and down on your toes And you sing your happy song I don’t know where all the trouble goes But I just hum along Na na na na Shine a little light on me, shine a little light on me It’s strange the way the mind goes Searching for melodies and words Want to make it happen You squeeze your brain until it hurts And while I stumble through this life of mine In a way that seems fit for me I try to make the perfect tune But I still can’t find the key And then I see you jumping up and down on your toes And you sing your happy song I don’t know where all the trouble goes But I smile and try to hum along Na na na na Shine a little light on me, shine a little light on me Shine a little light on me, shine a little light on me

Summer dresses Summer dresses can drive me wild Some do and some don’t Maybe I should look the other way but I think I won’t Summer dresses keep me alive Make me hot, give me the chills Maybe I should look the other way But I don’t think I will, mmm, I don’t think I will Two years of winter can make you feel so low You get tired of the cold and tired of all this snow You want to go outside and play and run A ray of light, just a little bit of sun Can make you realize how much you missed the fun Summer dresses can drive me wild Some do and some don’t Maybe I should look the other way but I think I won’t Summer dresses keep me alive Make me hot, give me the chills Maybe I should look the other way But I don’t think I will, I don’t think I will I hate rain coats, muddy shoes Clean wet socks give me the blues You want to go outside and play and run A ray of light, just a little bit of sun Can make you realize how much you missed the fun Of happy faces and happy places Summer dresses can drive me wild Some do and some don’t Maybe I should look the other way But I think - I’m pretty sure I don’t - I won’t Summer dresses keep me alive Make me hot, give me the chills Maybe I should look the other way But I don’t think I will, mmm, I don’t think I will Mmm, I won’t look the other way Summer dresses drive me wild

Bigger than anything It must be real, this love of mine I’m proud and happy when I see my wife Butchering some oysters in the French atlantic With a smile, a bikini and a knive So small, so big, one quick kiss And everything falls in place The agony gathered in moments of weakness Disappears with one glimpse of her face Love is sometimes less than a splinter in a sliver of life But in the words of songs that so many sing Love is bigger than anything, bigger than anything The love of your life can be the needle in a haystack And once you think you found her she can sting She can haunt you like lipstick on a mirror One quick shower and back comes everything What makes your love so true, so true Maybe truth is a better word And history proved that truth is always changing The wisest thing I’ve ever heard Love is sometimes less than a splinter in a sliver of life But in the words of songs that so many sing Love is bigger than anything, bigger than anything So strange to know that love is ‘round the corner Even when there’s no such thing as hope And like a crazy loon, without thinking You jump into the pit without a rope A thousand cupids harpooned your guts And it cuts you to the bone No matter if she stays or not She’ll never leave you alone Love is sometimes less than a splinter in a sliver of life But in the words of songs that so many sing Love is bigger than anything, bigger than anything

Frank 04:24
Frank A reason to give up is never hard to find When the road ahead disturbs your peace of mind I know not everybody liked your style But one real listen proved it was all worthwhile And then suddenly you felt all alone The promise that you made felt like a stone Man, you could have tried it one more time Hey man, you could have tried it one more time Nobody said it would be easy You could have tried it one more time And prove them all it was more than just a dream ‘Out of my league’ never seemed to cross your mind And it made sense since we all are part of the same human kind And you saw the downside of it all Some rise high, they simply had to fall The fairytale that broke your heart Puzzled you right from the start Hey, you could have tried it one more time Man, you could have tried it one more time Nobody said it would be easy Man, you could have tried it one more time And prove them all it was more than just a dream It felt so strange those days in September What was it all about Just make sure you remember You had every reason, every reason to be proud Frank, you could have tried it one more time Nobody said it would be easy Man, you could have tried it one more time And prove them all it was more than just a dream You proved a lot to me Thanks for letting me be part of your dream

Minute of your time You got style, you’re so cool The prettiest girl I know Standing here feeling like a fool I just hope it doesn’t show And I practiced and I tried Every line that I could find But now I’m here with nothing left to hide I just need a minute of your time I feel like a nickle talking to a dime Look at me, can’t you see? It’s hard enough to be standing at your door I only need a minute of your day Just listen to the things I’ve got to say It’s clear to me where I wanna be Just say the words that I’ve been hoping for You took my breath away when I saw you passing by And I knew right from the start One fine day I’d give it a try I just had to follow my heart And I practiced and I tried Every line that I could find But now I’m here with nothing left to hide It’s something I’ve got to do: following you I have to keep on following you I just need a minute of your time I feel like a nickle talking to a dime Look at me, can’t you see? It’s hard enough to be standing at your door I only need a minute of your day Just listen to the things I’ve got to say It’s clear to me where I wanna be Just say the words that I’ve been hoping for And I don’t feel as lonely anymore

Easter bunnies If you need an answer almost every day I won’t have to think too long about what I’m gonna say The moment that I kiss you goodbye and leave Is when easter bunnies jump around on Christmas Eve Is when easter bunnies jump around on Christmas Eve And if you need my loving almost every night You will feel my arms around you till the morning light The day I hardly kiss you and whisper words you can’t believe Is when easter bunnies jump around on Christmas Eve Is when easter bunnies jump around on Christmas Eve That means never, never ever Never in my life That means never, never ever Never till the day I’ll die I can sing each and every song Dedicate them all to you I guess the day all your worries are gone Is the day our love is through Oh, if you need my money, every dime lying around You can have the last of me, my purse and my account The day I stop believing that to give is better than to receive Is when easter bunnies jump around on Christmas Eve Is when easter bunnies jump around on Christmas Eve If you need an answer every single day You won’t have to worry about what I’m gonna say The moment that I kiss you goodbye and leave Is when easter bunnies jump around on Christmas Eve That means never, never ever Never in my life That means never, never ever Mmmm, never till the day I’ll die That makes never, never never Never till the day I’ll die

Ready 04:17
Ready I’m ready for your love, ready for your anger Ready for your company Ready for your love, ready for your laughter Are you ready for me? Are you ready for me? Some guys are just perfect They’ve got it all worked out fine Handsome, funny, steady, stable and never out of line That’s what you need, and that’s what you want And that’s what you had in mind But don’t you know it’s not fair cause I can’t compare To someone that’s so hard to find Ready for your love, ready for your anger Ready for your company Ready for your love, ready for your laughter Are you ready for me? Are you ready for me? I know I’m not perfect, and I’m sure I’ll never be But I tried and I tried like a fool in love But it seems that you don’t wanna see But I know what I need and I know what I want And I know what I have in mind You should know it’s not fair cause I can’t compare To someone that’s so hard to find I can’t compare to someone that’s so hard to find I’m ready for your love, I’m ready for your anger Ready for your company Ready for your love, ready for your laughter Are you ready for me? Are you ready for me? Mmmm, are you ready for me? I know I’m ready for you I’m ready, ready, you know I’m ready, I’m ready I wanna know if you’re ready I’m ready for your love, mmmm

They still dance They still dance after more than 20 years They still dance, no time for tears He’s around, here and now And when I ask her how I can see it in her eyes They were blessed, she still thinks of him at night A trace of rest but the picture's much too bright His hands, his smile How they danced for a while And with his step he ripped her dress I mentioned his name Now I know how far a vow can go I saw the thrill at one glance They still dance, they still dance They still dance, they still dance There was an oath: ‘Until death do us part’ And even now she feels it in the heart Somehow, somewhere She knows he’s always there They still are one I mentioned his name Now I know how far a vow can go I saw the thrill at one glance They still dance, they still dance They still dance, they still dance

Call you in the morning You were sipping on a cocktail When I walked into the place My blushes were a tell tale While I stared into your face I’m used to getting some attention But I just keep me to myself Cause I don’t have the intention To get my heart kicked from the shelf I don’t wanna blow this I want you to notice If I should call you in the morning Would you still recognize my voice Love simply comes without a warning And leaves you without a choice And if you could see me in the morning Would you still recognize my eyes I didn’t get much of a warning Now I don’t wanna hear goodbyes Now I’m standing here before you Should I step back or take this dive No plan, I don’t know what to do But I never felt so alive I don’t wanna blow this I want you to notice If I should call you in the morning Would you still recognize my voice Love simply comes without a warning And leaves you without a choice And if you could see me in the morning Would you still recognize my eyes I didn’t get much of a warning Now I don’t wanna hear goodbyes I don’t wanna blow this I want you to notice I don’t wanna blow this I want you to notice

Little world 03:54
Little world There’s always something you can think of When you don’t dare to make a choice You got a great pair of ears But you don’t hear your inner voice It happens every day, makes you feel so blue You don’t like it much that way but it’s a part of you In this little world down here It’s a thin line between a laugh and a tear If you know what you want just go for it What are you waiting for, open the door While we live this little moment we have It’s a thin line between a tear and a laugh If you know what’s right take a bite Don’t let it go, don’t let go There’s always something you can make up You’ll find a reason to disapprove They say you have an adventurous mind But you’re afraid to make a move Why should we try to take it slow, how harmful can it be Just follow me, off we go and in time you’ll see In this little world down here It’s a thin line between a laugh and a tear If you know what you want just go for it What are you waiting for, open the door While we live this little moment we have It’s a thin line between a tear and a laugh If you know what’s right just take a bite Don’t let it go, don’t let go Linger on or come with me Finger on the button, push, and feel free Don’t think about falling when you climb It’s just a different way to spend your time In this little world down here It’s a thin line between a laugh and a tear If you know what you want just go for it What are you waiting for, open the door While we live this little moment we have It’s a thin line between a tear and a laugh If you know what’s right just take a bite Don’t let it go, don’t let go

The ruin 03:38
The ruin My home is crumbling The trees are tumbling down But I don’t mind, I don’t mind My home will disappear The end is getting near But I don’t mind It’ll be mine forever, forever, forever The roof that kept me dry is already gone And years went by, on and on Time can sooth pain while it ruins my walls The rain, mmm, the rain just falls and falls My home is crumbling The trees are tumbling down But I don’t mind, I don’t mind My home will disappear The end is getting near But I don’t mind Cause it’ll be mine forever, forever, forever
12.
Try my luck 04:38
Try my luck There’s a place where I wanna be Where I’ve never been before It’s so perfect, meant just for me I don’t wanna wait no more It’s coming closer all the time Soon I’ll have to go There I’ll find my rhythm and rhyme Cause everybody tells me so I choose before I lose my mind This road’s been far too long Then I’ll leave all my troubles behind And I won’t care when all is gone I won’t care when all is gone I’ll try my luck, ignore this voice Shouting in my brain Then I’ll make my very own choice That’s been driving me insane I choose before I lose my mind This road’s been far too long Then I’ll leave all my troubles behind I won’t care when all is gone I won’t care when all is gone

Pay the DJ 06:41
Pay the DJ I know we had a deal, but the summer’s been rough on me And I need you guys to help me out, I’ll be as clear as I can be I’m running out of cash and you saw the size of the crowd I was really counting on the tipjar Well, you know what I’m talking about And hey, we’ve got to pay the DJ, we’ve got to pay the DJ; he’s a pro, you know Hey, I’ve got to pay the DJ, I’ve got to pay the DJ, don’t you agree? So, we split all my expenses and you got nothing to lose I saw you selling five cd’s And I’ll throw in the burgers and the booze You played four sets and I think they were great You can come back whenever you’re free It’s hard to get a band that sounds so good And looks so professional to me. But hey, we’ve got to pay the DJ, we’ve got to pay the DJ; He came all this way just to play Hey, we’ve got to pay the DJ, we’ve got to pay the DJ, don’t you agree? You know I could’ve hired a band from this neighbourhood They love to come even when the money’s no good And I can tell, I just know, you really like to play Why else in heaven’s name would you spend a day on the freeway I wish I could spend a day on the freeway

about

'Little world' was completely recorded and mixed in Austin, Texas, and it was produced by the great Walt Wilkins, who can also be held responsible for the production of Sam Baker’s albums 'Pretty World' and 'Mercy'. A bunch of great Texan musicians, like Scrappy Jud Newcomb, Kim Deschamps and The Mystiqueros contributed to the record. Again Gilad Atzmon added his beautiful clarinet playing. The album was preceded by the release of the single ‘Minute of your time’. The second single ‘Summer dresses’ came with a sunny Texan video clip.
